Russia’s Quadra denies possible sale to board chairman

MOSCOW, Jun 6 (PRIME) -- Russian power producer Quadra Power Generation denied reports about its possible sale to Yevgeny Dod, chairman of the company’s board of directors and former CEO of power holding Inter RAO and hydropower giant RusHydro on Monday.

“The information does not correspond to reality,” Boris Zverev, director of communications department, told PRIME.

Reuters reported earlier on Monday citing sources that billionaire businessman Mikhail Prokhorov is preparing Quadra for sale and Dod can be a possible buyer.

Prokhorov has been trying to sell Quadra for several years already.
